Aims & Scope

The Anatolian Journal of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care is an international, peer-reviewed scientific publication. Our primary aim is to contribute to the advancement of knowledge in the fields of anesthesiology, reanimation, pain, and intensive care by publishing high-quality, original research and reviews. We strive to be a leading platform for researchers and clinicians globally to share their work, foster collaboration, and enhance patient care.

Our scope encompasses all aspects of these disciplines, including but not limited to:

  • Anesthesiology: General anesthesia, regional anesthesia, local anesthesia, sedation, perioperative medicine, patient safety, and anesthetic pharmacology.
  • Reanimation and Resuscitation: Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), advanced life support, trauma management, and emergency medicine relevant to critical care.
  • Pain Management: Acute pain, chronic pain, interventional pain procedures, palliative care, and pain mechanisms.
  • Intensive Care: Critical care medicine, organ support, sepsis, multi-organ failure, nutrition in critical illness, and long-term outcomes of intensive care.
  • Basic and Translational Research: Studies exploring the fundamental mechanisms underlying anesthetic action, pain pathways, and critical illness, bridging the gap between laboratory findings and clinical application.
  • Medical Education: Innovations and best practices in teaching and training within anesthesiology and intensive care.
  • Ethical and Legal Issues: Discussions on ethical dilemmas and legal considerations pertinent to these specialized areas of medicine.

The journal publishes a variety of manuscript types, including original research articles, review articles, case reports, letters to the editor, and editorials. We welcome submissions from all over the world, encouraging diverse perspectives and groundbreaking scientific inquiry that will ultimately improve patient outcomes and medical practice in anesthesiology and intensive care.
